Big snowstorms lead to the possibility of being stuck inside all day long. And quite honestly, staying in is a good idea. In bad weather, you do not need to go anywhere.
So what can you do when you are stuck inside?
Take a look at this great list of things to do when a storm hits.
1. Clean
Don’t leave the article yet! Cleaning might not seem like much fun, but getting it done when you are unable to do other fun things is always a good idea. You are stuck inside anyway! Organize the kitchen or do some laundry. Laundry right out of the dryer is fantastic on a cold winter day.
2. Catch Up on Work
Use the time indoors to catch up on work. Reply to emails, pay bills, crunch some numbers. Convince your boss to let you work from home. The roads are not safe. It is best to stay inside and off the roads. You can even take a long lunch!
3. Watch Some TV or a Movie
Do you need to catch up on one of your favorite shows? How about that movie your friends suggested? Now is the perfect time to sit on the couch, fold that laundry, and enjoy whatever it is you have meant to watch. You deserve it!
4. Try this Homemade Coconut Chai Latte
Just because someone has decided to go vegan does not mean he or she cannot enjoy a nice hot cup of something delicious. It is just the thing to warm up during a cold, stormy night!

5. DIY Project
Now is the perfect time to start or finish that amazing DIY project you may have put on hold. If you are wondering what to do with the kids, crafts will keep them focused much longer than the TV.
6. Read a Book
You may love to read but work may not give you the time to read as much as you like. (Think 1 to 2 hours of uninterrupted reading time!) Grab that book you have been meaning to finish, a blanket, and take the time to enjoy the plot line. There is no better thing than a good book!
7. Play Games!
My kids love to play family board games like Memory, Chutes, and Ladders, Sorry!, or Go Fish. Take the time stuck indoors to enjoy some family time. Console gaming can also be a good option, especially if it is a movement based game. Keep those kids active!
