We all know about rubbing alcohol and what it is commonly used for. It is a disinfectant that is used, more often than not, by mothers to clean scraped knees. I remember the stinging and I am sure most of you do as well.
However, rubbing alcohol is good for more than just treating wounds. Its disinfectant properties make it perfect as a cleaning solution. It is good for use on any surface and dries clear. This is great for those of us who hate streaks on mirrors or refrigerators.
Best yet is its effect on windshields. I wish I had learned this sooner, but rubbing alcohol will reduce the amount of ice that builds up on your windshield during the winter. Winter is here and many of us are battling frozen windshields in the morning. (Cough. Canada. Upstate New York.) If I had known about this magic solution earlier, getting ready in the morning would have taken far less time.
