Unfortunately, that will bring quite a bit of chaos and confusion. But don’t worry – on September 1st you’ll be getting a boost of energy to guide you through the first few days of the retrograde, thanks to a rare annular solar eclipse during Virgo!
An annular solar eclipse occurs when the moon moves in front of the sun but does not cover it completely. This produces a ‘ring of fire’ in the sky that looks like this:
We only observe this phenomenon when a new moon is near a lunar node and the earth, moon and sun are perfectly aligned. What does this mean for you? A number of things! Let’s take a look at 3 of the most powerful effects, starting with one you’ll really appreciate during Mercury’s retrograde!

During an annular eclipse, all beings on our planet experience a heightened level of energy. Expect your emotions and intuition to be much more intense than usual. Harnessing this energy correctly can help you avoid the mishaps and misunderstandings characteristic of Mercury’s retrograde.
